The Regional Development Unit for Yokneam-Megiddo was established by the Israel Department of the Jewish Agency for Israel in co-operation with the Local Authority of Yokneam Illit and the Regional Authority of Megiddo to encourage economic development in the Yokneam-Megiddo region.
The Unit operates as part of the Jewish Agency for Israel's "Partnership 2000" plan for Yokneam-Megiddo, with the Jewish communities of Atlanta and St.Louis in the United States.
